National Paddling Film Festival
The following is a reprint of a posting to the AWC website:
The National Paddling Film Festival is now planning for its 19th annual event on February 23 and 24, 2002 in Lexington, KY. This is a great opportunity for both professional and amateur videographers and photographers in your organization to gain recognition and exhibit their work. In February, we invite everyone in the whitewater community to come to Lexington and share in the excitement.
Last years winning entries are shown on Friday night. On Saturday, competing films and still photos are exhibited all day culminating with a party in the evening where the winners are announced. At the same time, participants have the opportunity to get great deals on a wide assortment of paddling gear from major manufacturers, including boats, through the silent auction.
All of our staff are volunteers and all proceeds go to promote river conservation. This last year we were able to raise over $9,000 for American Canoe Association and American Whitewater programs. For your info here is last years web site http://www.surfbwa.org/npff/.
Please feel free to contact me at any time if you have any questions.
