Gauge Information

This link has some lake information

http://www.nantahalapower.com/lakelev.html

The River generally flows from 1.1 to 1.3 feet. It is usually running every day. It isn't a bad idea to check before going just to make sure that the water is flowing as usual. Sometimes they schedule the river to be off during paddling hours for maintenance etc..

Call 828-369-4556 for the flow times.

Comments

Good trained beginner river. Good river to view fall colors. Make sure you have exact change for the $2.00 user fee. Change is not often available.
