We have a fantastic day planned on Saturday, July 24th!!!  There will be a  paddling trip on the Ocoee and a trip on the Hiawassee.  Tonya Chaffin and Mike Kennedy will be the leaders of the Ocoee trip.  They will post when they are ready with all of their information for the trip.  Once a leader is in place for the Hiawassee trip, information will be posted as well.

 

We are camping afterward at Circle J campground.  It is located on Hwy 64/74 in North Carolina.  Circle J is at mile marker #4.  That means it is four miles from the Tennessee border.  It is on the south side of 64/74, at 235 Johnsonville Rd. Murphy NC, 28906    828-494-7042.

 

Circle J has a pavilion and we will be cooking out there.  AWC will be providing hot dogs and hamburgers.  Please bring side dishes to share.  Grilling will start around 7pm. 

 

We also are combining this day with the Kudzu Kayakers.  They are a great group of people and it will be fun to have them paddling and camping with us!!!

 

Most importantly, this day was planned as a good bye party for Richmond Eustis.  He is moving to Louisiana in August to get his doctorate.  We will miss you Rich!!!!!!!
